A holiday meal isn’t complete without holiday worthy salads adding a colorful splash to the table.
Days gone by I would have served a green salad with tomatoes and Ranch dressing, then wondered why the salad was left untouched.
But I’ve learned a few things in my 30+ years of family holidays, and now I serve salad recipes with a variety of colors, textures, and tasty additions. Salads so appealing that guests can’t resist giving them a try, so you won’t find much left in the bowl at the end of the meal.
The following salads have guest pleasers at more than one celebration, and I bet your family and friends will love them too!
If I were to pick a favorite it would be the Emerald City Salad originally from PCC, but this year were serving lasagna for Christmas dinner, so I’m opting for a green salad. This year I’ll serve it with a fresh basil vinaigrette and skip the Ranch dressing.
