Your guests will never guess this is a slender version of the classic artichoke and crab dip appetizer.
Party time isn’t over yet! After all, if you’re a football fan there’s still a lot of football season left, with some of the best games yet to come. Us Seattle Seahawks fans are ready to cheer on the team this Saturday when they take on the Saints. The Hawks are ready, and I’m ready with the food.
This lightened up version of artichoke and crab dip was inspired by my coworker’s description of her family pleasing recipe for this classic appetizer. I simply replaced a few high fat and calorie ingredients with their lighter versions. It was a hit on Christmas Eve, so I’ll stick with a good thing and serve it up again for the big game.
You won’t miss the extra fat and calories here – the crab, artichokes, and parmesan provide plenty of flavor for this creamy dip. Just add a few baked whole grain crackers and you’ll have a people pleasing appetizer.
Enjoy and Go Hawks!
