A few month’s ago I was approached by Travelin’ Local to write articles and provide recipes for their online travel magazine.
Travelin’ Local is a terrific resource for tourists and residents from Los Angeles to San Diego. With articles ranging from culture and art, recreation, entertainment and even going green – there is something for everyone.
It’s been a fantastic learning experience, and I’ve appreciated the opportunity to improve my writing skills and share my recipes.
I thought you might enjoy a few of those recipes on this lovely Mother’s Day morning.
Salmon with Fresh Beet and Shallot Salad – I loved the combination of color in this salad. Delicate pink salmon with ruby red beets.
Balsamic Chicken and Mushroom Wraps – Wraps are a terrific way to make a delicious lunch or dinner. The whole wheat and high fiber wraps you can buy at your local grocery store are always on hand in my frig.
Gingery Stir Fried Pork with Zucchini and Mushrooms – There nothing better than a stir fry. It’s the perfect meal. Lean meat, colorful vegetables, a sweet or spicy sauce, and nutty brown rice.
