Life is all about compromise, isn’t it?
It’s not often that I make waffles for breakfast, In truth, I consider them a treat. I’d much rather have a steaming plate of creamy scrambled eggs loaded with veggies, than waffles swimming in sweet, gooey syrup.
Somehow I don’t think most of you would agree with me. Neither does my family.
So, in the spirit of compromise, I decided to healthify my family’s favorite waffles with sweet bananas, whole wheat flour and yogurt.
Could my family tell the difference between their favorite white flour, fat filled, sugar loaded waffles and my healthier version?
Not a complaint, not a word, not a peep.
No need for ladles full of syrup with these sweet waffles, just a drizzle will do.
