I felt the need this morning to vent my frustration with cookbooks and recipe sites that don’t provide nutrition information.
How are we supposed to make good food choices if we don’t have a clue what the nutrition information is for a recipe? Sure we can guess, and after some experience, you can get pretty close.
For me, close isn’t good enough. Getting close means that often times by the end of the day I could have eaten 100 – 200 calories more than I realized. Over time, that leads to the tiny bits of weight gain that eventually add up to big weight gain, and consequently a host of health issues.
It’s a pain in the rear, but I calculate those calories, and Weight Watchers points for all my recipes so that I can be informed as to what I’m eating.
Anyway, that’s my rant. Thanks for listening!
