Have you ever tried sprouted grain bread? If not, you’re missing out.
Sprouted grain bread is made from a variety of grains and legumes that were sprouted prior to being ground into flour. It often has broken up pieces of grains of seeds, giving it a wonderful texture and nutty crunch.
Due to the process of sprouting the bread contains more vitamins and nutrients because they weren’t stripped out as they are in highly processed flours.
Sprouting makes this bread easier to digest, however, it is not necessarily gluten free. Check the bread’s packaging to confirm that it’s gluten free, as manufacturers often add gluten to the bread.
So my advice? Give the delightful bread a try. It makes fantastic toast!
