Spicy Corona Mexican Rice with Avocado and Sour Cream

Spicy Corona Mexican Salad

Typically when you go out for Mexican food you can [...]

Warm and Wonderful Five Spice Pork

Grilled Five Spice Pork

I found this recipe on Ingredients, Inc., by Alison Lewis. I don’t often cook with five spice powder, but every time I do, I always think I should use it more. It has such a warm flavor. Still it’s not too strong, and doesn’t over-power the food.

Sliced Grilled Five Spice Pork

Pork Skewers with Tarragon Dressing

The other day I made a fantastic salad that was dressed with a really good tarragon dressing. I decided to modify this dressing a bit by adding some garlic, and then marinading chunks of boneless pork chop that I skewered and then barbecued.

The pork turned out perfectly tender, with a wonderful [...]

Pork Marsala

Pork Marsala

Pork blade steaks were on sale. Very, very cheap. Not lean, but cheap. So what was I going to do with these, and still keep to the calorie budget. I found this recipe on allrecipes.com submitted by Junnieann.

The original recipe called for 3 tbs butter and 1/4 cup olive oil. I used 1 tbs [...]

Mother Rimmy’s Italian Pork Chops

The other night I made a roasted Roma tomato and garlic sauce. Boy was it good. Fresh sauce beats the taste of canned sauce anytime. Problem was I didn’t feel like the usual spaghetti. I had boneless pork chops in the frig, so I decided to make pork chops and top them with this wonderful sauce.

While [...]

Southwestern Wraps

This recipe is a great base for any kind of southwestern style wrap, and so easy to pull together after work. Add leftover chicken, pork, lean beef and you would still have a low calorie meal.
